Who we are

We hope that you will find St Peter’s:

  • inclusive
  • strong on welcome
  • an active partner within our local community.
Our worship area is light and open to ensure a versatile space. We use it to provide a broad range of worship activities. We are happy to try new things as well as supporting more time-honoured themes. There should be a form of worship here to ‘taste and see’ and meet the needs of most people. Our various house groups also allow us to go deeper to grow our understanding of this journey of faith that we can all share.

Our facilities host a range of local groups and clubs throughout the week. They cater for young and old, and a full range of abilities. They cover:

  • a mums and toddlers group
  • music, dance and drama
  • social and family activities.
And you can hire our rooms too.

The Parish we serve

St Peter’s was built in the late ‘60’s to serve Chippenham’s expanding population to the west of the town. About a third of the town’s inhabitants now live in the parish’s 5,000 homes. There is a mix of both social and private housing and plans for further developments. As a result we serve a diverse community.  To learn more about the parish follow this link to our data on the Diocese of Bristol website:
