Music and The Arts

St Peter’s has a great artistic heritage in the work of Frank Roper which adorns our church in etched and stained glass, sculpture and cast aluminium decorations. This blessing finds its expression today in a range of activities run by our church. There is something for everyone and you can find out more on the following pages. We would love to see you find your own outlet for artistic and musical expression in one of these activities to further enrich the life of our church.

The Choir

St. Peter’s has a small but enthusiastic choir to lead our worship. We have two regular organists – Sally Powell and Paul Fortune, but occasionally use CDs. We practice regularly, in Church, on Wednesday evening between 7.30 and 8.30 pm .

We welcome new members.  However, if you enjoy singing but do not feel able to join us, please feel free to just come along to choir practice, have a good sing and get a head start on the rest of the congregation an anything new!
