We who follow Christ are identified as servants. We are called to volunteer our services both within our church and wider community as a grateful response to God and his gifts to us.  Jesus himself communicated this call; one who volunteered his very life on our behalf.

Here at St Peter’s we value all those who volunteer their services in support of our work or within the wider community.

You can offer your services to our church and local community in many different ways according to your interests and skills. These include:

  • assisting the vicar at services;
  • joining the choir or music group;
  • welcoming people as they arrive;
  • reading lessons in church;
  • leading prayers (intercessions);
  • working with the Youth Church and crèche;
  • flower arranging; and
  • cleaning.

Or you could volunteer to help at one of our services or with the work of our linked primary school. These are just a few of the ways you can ensure that we serve our local community.

If you would like to offer your services to enrich our church life, please speak to one of our Church Wardens.
